About
👋 About Bill’s Notebook
Hey — I’m Bill.
I’m a disciple of Jesus, a husband, a father, a pastor, and a xennial, trying to walk with clarity, conviction, and grace in a noisy, complicated world.
This blog is where I think out loud — about faith, culture, theology, and real life.
Sometimes I write about what’s happening in the world.
Sometimes I write about what’s happening in my own heart.
And sometimes… I just tell a story that won’t leave me alone until I write it down.
I started this notebook because I needed a space to reflect honestly, engage deeply, and write regularly — not just for myself, but for anyone else who’s wrestling through life and faith with open eyes and an anchored heart.
What to Expect
Each week, you’ll find:
- A new written blog post
- A podcast episode of the same content (for the audio-inclined)
- A tone that aims to be thoughtful without being combative
- A perspective that’s biblically grounded but not stuck in clichés
Whether you’re a fellow-pastor, a skeptic, a curious Christian, or just someone wondering if grace still matters — I’m glad you’re here.
A Bit About Me
I live with my family in a special corner of Washington State called Grays Harbor, where I have the privilege of pastoring the church I grew up in.
I also have a piano studio downtown where I teach music, which is a true joy.
I’ve been deeply shaped by good mentors, honest questions, and a growing love for Christ, His Church, and His Gospel.
Also: I love the Beatles, DC Comics (sorry marvel fans), the San Francisco Giants, and basically anything from the 80s and 90s.
